Fener Lokantası

With its position at the base of the historic Ayastefanos Lighthouse, Fener Lokantası (‘Lighthouse Restaurant’), is a seafood restaurant with uninterrupted water views that also provides service in their garden during the summer months. Fish varieties can be found according to the seasons while the restaurant’s specialties are braised angler, stewed angler and seabass in paper. The Turkish breakfast served from 09.00-13.00 every Sunday has become a classic. Fish starts being served at 11.00 every day. Chef Hamza Tanrıverdi’s recommendations include the mackerel, pickled kingfish, braised angler, octopus salad, herbed cheese, shrimp soup, steamed seabass, grouper in salt, pilaki (stew of dried beans)andof the desserts, irmik helvası (semolina helva) with ice cream, halka tatlısı (sweet rings), and chocolate soufflé.A more unusual choice is the ‘Kaya Koruğu’ which is made from a sea herb that grows among the seaweed in the Mediterranean.
