Time Out says

Fishmekân literally translates to ‘fish place’, which probably tells you all you need to know about this restaurant—the food, the décor, the professional service, this is a place you can trust. Located in a two-storey building with water views in Arnavutköy, the restaurant’s decorations are both modern and tasteful, making its atmosphere a comfortable one. You sit in large seats, supported by puffy cushions. If you’d rather a bit of a view, you can sit at the window and enjoy your meal overlooking the Bosphorus. One of Fishmekân’s most important features is the pickled vegetables they serve. Everything from pickled cherry tomatoes, to aubergine, you can select from a very wide selection of vegetables. The mezzes include giant prawns, aubergine salad, fish meatballs, stuffed zucchini blossoms, cured fish, fish carpaccio, and more. When it comes to the fish, you order seabass and it’s served on a fancily decorated plate on a bed of aubergine. Chef Fettah Akbulut’s dishes are a great deal more carefully presented than other fish restaurants’. If you like dessert, chocolate soufflé, fig dessert, apricot dessert and quince desserts are all available. And for a restaurant of this quality, the prices are extremely reasonable.
