Time Out says

This is the venue that opened where Otto Santral used to be. As you know, alcohol is no longer allowed within the premises of santralistanbul, so when the name changed, the menu did too.

The food offerings were updated to suit a university campus, with sandwiches, snacks and salads that are perfect for students looking to grab a quick bite. You’ll also find pizza and pide cooked in the stone oven. Papaz serves a set lunch menu, though you’d be remiss not to try the home-cooked olive oil and stews. From 16.00 to 18.00, the restaurant offers sponge cakes and cookies for those who order tea or coffee.

On our visit, we got to sample the mini meat patties (8 TL) topped with a delectable Papaz sauce, a blend of sundried tomatoes, pistachios, basil and olive oil. The grilled tenderloin salad (24 TL) was more meat than salad, well combined with the grilled oyster, chestnut mushrooms and caramelised onions. As for dessert, the wafer halva with assorted ice cream made on premises (9 TL), topped with sour cherry sauce, was a great try.
