Time Out says

A brand new eatery in the chic and modern Duo Galata Hotel, robin's greets visitors with a decidedly calm and warm decor, courtesy of interior designer and partner Yeşim Aslaneli. The soft hues and neutral tones give it a modern feel, while the luxe and formal lines contrast beautifully with the Buddha statues found on the ground floor. The terrace, on the other hand, features stark decor to further draw attention to the view of the Galata Tower in the background.

The eater's second partner, Chef Bilal Mert, is in charge of the kitchen, where the Le Cordon Blue graduate and his team serve up French-inspired dishes that appeal to the neighborhood's demeanor. Some of the hits on the menue include octopus with minced meat and peppers; duck with figs, onions, celery and potatoes; and the asparagus served with bresaola, arugula nad parmesan, topped with a vanilla vinaigrette.

Don't be surprised to find local dishes here, either, like the yuvarlama (rolled pieces of dough and minced meat served with lamb and chickpeas in a yogurt sauce) or imam bayıldı (baked eggplant stuffed with onions and tomatoes). You could also opt for the chef's tasting menu at robin's, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

One of the most notable features of the venue is the music selection, courtesy of local musicians such as Orkun Bozdemir, DJ Murat Tokus, DJ Yakuza and Discolog. It looks like robin's is set to be a favorite of the cocktail-after-work crowd. We're also excited to hear that the space will have its own design atelier soon. Elif Eren Altınarık
