Hey Neighbour Festival 2025, originally scheduled for August, has officially been postponed to December 2025. While fans were gearing up for a star-studded lineup including global icons like Doja Cat, Central Cee, Leon Thomas and South African powerhouse Black Coffee, organisers say the change is a strategic move aimed at ensuring the event's long-term success and sustainability.

Glen Netshipise, CEO of Hey Neighbour, addressed the shift with transparency, saying: “We understand the disappointment this brings to our loyal festival-goers, sponsors and artists. Our communication hasn’t been as clear as it should have been, and for that, we sincerely apologise. We're now focused on building a better experience for December.”

The good news? If you've already secured a ticket, you’re still in! All tickets remain valid for the new dates, which will be confirmed on 30 September 2025, along with the updated full lineup. Those seeking refunds will be able to access them before 10 October 2025, with the organisers assuring a smooth process for all affected.

Behind the scenes, the festival team is actively securing additional funding, forging new partnerships and negotiating with artists to retain (and even expand) the original high-calibre lineup.

Whether you're in it for the music, the vibes, or the neighbourly spirit that makes this event unique, keep your eyes peeled for updates via www.heyneighbour.co.za or follow them on social media.

December just got a whole lot louder.
