Constitution Hill: Free for All

Constitution Hill is a living museum that tells the story of South Africa’s journey to democracy, and to mark the occasion, all tours will be free. Once a prison and military fort, the site held renowned figures like Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Joe Slovo, Albertina Sisulu, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, and Fatima Meer. Today, it’s home to the country’s Constitutional Court, which upholds the rights of all citizens.
