The Cape Ballet Africa’s Swan Lake is all set for its run on Montecasino’s Teatro stage from 7 to 23 August 2026 - and you can win tickets to be there!
Choreographed by London-based Georgian Elena Glurjidze and starring Paris-born Béjart Ballet Lausanne principal dancer Aubin Le Marchand and Austrian principal Solomon Osazuva as Prince Siegfried, the Tchaikovsky classic that is Swan Lake will take the Johannesburg audience on a journey of intoxicating intrigue and mesmerising elegance.
Keeping things local, the Cape Ballet Africa’s own artists will also feature in the principal roles. Gabriel Ravenscroft, Joshua Williams, and Gabriel Fernandes Da Silva will showcase their talents as Prince Siegfried, while Leanè Theunissen, Paige McElligott, Maryana Pobuta, and Savannah Ireland will portray the role of Odette/Odile.
Debbie Turner, CEO and Artistic Director of Cape Ballet Africa, said ahead of the run: "Collaborating with exceptional artists from around the world is an incredible experience for everyone in the company. We inspire one another, learn from each other's unique talents, and continually challenge each other to reach new heights."
How to win Swan Lake tickets
To celebrate Swan Lake in Johannesburg, we've got two pairs of tickets to give away for the Sunday, 9 August performance at 17h30.

The competition is only open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Please note that the prize is for tickets to attend the Swan Lake show only - no transport, accommodation or other perks outside of the tickets will be provided. Tickets may not be exchanged for cash or for an alternate performance or price category. Tickets are not transferable and may not be sold.
