This world-class speciality roastery has strong brews and even stronger Wi-Fi, so it's a win if you're looking for somewhere to hunker down and do a little work. It's a fantastic spot to spend a few hours browsing unique boutiques and grabbing a bite. Begin at the Wits Art Museum (WAM) in Braamfontein, home to an impressive collection of African art spanning generations. CityROCK Randburg offers world-class climbing and bouldering, with routes suitable for total beginners to seasoned, chalk-covered pros. It’s active, it’s exciting, and it’s the perfect way to shake off the gloomy weather.
Feel like a kid again by heading to the Northgate Ice Rink. Rent a pair of skates and glide your worries away; it's a classic and fun indoor activity for adults and children alike. The rink’s upbeat music and cheerful atmosphere make it the perfect place to shake off cabin fever and cool down after a stormy afternoon. Bonus points if you finish with a hot chocolate at one of the nearby cafés.
