For the past 28 years, Ride Joburg has offered cycling enthusiasts from around the world the chance to experience the vibrant heartbeat of Jozi.

On Sunday, 26 October, the city’s streets will come alive as thousands of riders take to the M1 highway, revel in the thrill of racing around the iconic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, and celebrate their achievement at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.

Participants can choose between the 97 km Road Race or the 35 km Short Ride.

Restaurant Week

Food lovers, mark your calendars – Restaurant Week is back from 26 September to 2 November, dishing up bold flavours and irresistible deals at some of South Africa’s top dining destinations.

While the official lineup of participating restaurants is still under wraps, word on the street is that Proud Mary is on the list, so if it’s been on your must-try list, now’s the time.

All eyes are on Soweto as Orlando Pirates gear up to take on defending champions Magesi FC in the Carling Knockout Quarter-Final at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday, 28 October.

Nothing quite captures the spirit of summer like dancing under the open sky with incredible music and even better company. This season, the legendary Keinemusik is set to bring their world-renowned sound to Johannesburg on 21 November at Old Park Station.

Hailing from Berlin, Keinemusik is an internationally acclaimed electronic music collective and record label founded in 2009, featuring powerhouse artists Rampa, &ME, Adam Port, and Reznik.

Known for their unforgettable sets, it’s safe to say that you’re in for an electrifying night in Jozi.

‘Tis the season! Cape Ballet Africa brings Tchaikovsky’s beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker, to life at the Teatro at Montecasino from 4 December. Audiences will be swept into a magical world of twinkling snowflakes, the enchanting Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy, and the heroic tale of the Nutcracker Prince on his quest to save his Princess.

This timeless production is choreographed by London-based artist Maina Gielgud, with set design by Michael Mitchell, promising a festive spectacle for the whole family.
