Frequently asked questions about staying in Las Vegas

Where should I stay in Vegas?

Well that depends on what type of Vegas visitor you are. If it’s your first time and you’re ready for some classic casino play and all the residencies, you’ve got to stay on the Strip, or as close as you can to it. Opt for neighborhoods like Paradise or Spring Valley that border the famous area where you’ll find Mandalay Bay, Caesar’s Palace, The Palazzo, The Bellagio and all the other gamble-friendly greats.

For more local vibes and motorsports action, North Las Vegas is your best bet. Get your adrenaline pumping at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for some NASCAR or drag racing (though drifting is the best), or take a stroll through Craig Ranch Regional Park, a former golf course turned multifunctional greenspace with a playground, amphitheater, skate park and more.

Families-friendly stays are well suited in the little suburbia of Green Valley North, a neighborhood in Henderson, just 20 minutes from downtown Vegas. The name tells it all. There are a ton of little parks and walkable places, here, like Green Valley Park, Silver Springs Park, Wildhorse Golf Club and, though technically not in GVN, you're not far from Sunset Park, one of the best in the area.

The best part about Vegas is that no matter where you stay, there's always something exciting to see.

Can I throw a pool party in my Vegas Airbnb?

Save the chaos for the casinos. While these Airbnbs have pools that are perfect for partying, the company has a strict ban on throwing ragers and noisy events. Bringing unauthorized guests or being disruptive can lead to immediate eviction and heavy fines.

Do Las Vegas Airbnbs heat their pools in winter?

Despite the dry summer heat, Vegas gets surprisingly cold from around November to March. Most luxury Airbnbs have pools, but heating them is a whole different story, and can often cost an extra pretty penny (we’re talking fees from $50–$150 per day). And often, if you are willing to pay, the host then makes you pay for the entire trip, rather than just part of it. Each host is different, so your best bet is to message them personally (and politely).

But the treasure here is the patio and swimming pool, where there’s a rock water fall that's also a cave for the outdoor tablea great place to dine or play cards over a drink or 12. There’s also a fire pit, cornhole, a pool table and even an outdoor piano, in case you weren’t impressed already.
