Time Out says

As a founding patron of YSP, it’s fitting that this major exhibition exploring Moore’s relationship with the land is being shown in the park’s open air spaces

The son of a coal miner, Henry Moore had a fascination with the landscape around him and his unmistakable sculpture is celebrated the world over. As a founding patron of YSP, it’s fitting that this major exhibition exploring Moore’s relationship with the land is being shown in the park’s open air spaces.

Drawings such as ‘Ice Berg’ and ‘Rocky Landscape’, on display with other rarely seen sketches, further help to understand the importance of earth in the artist’s work. A display of Moore’s personal items, notes and photos will also be shown, allowing an insight into the life of this local hero.
