Bongo's Bingo is heading to Leeds

Unless she uses glow sticks more than walking sticks or prefers Jägermeister to gin, you might want to leave your nan at home for this particular evening of bingo.

While Bongo's Bingo does indeed include the traditional dabbers, number cards and cash prizes, you can also expect rave intervals, piñatas, dance offs and general drunken hijinks. And now it's coming to Leeds...

Bongo's Bingo first built its huge cult following in Liverpool, holding regular sell out nights at warehouse venue Camp and Furnace. It holds a weekly event every Thursday, and still has to turn people away from the packed out evening. In November, it added a second boisterous night in Manchester, and has since taken over the Albert Hall every Tuesday.

Wherever the location, the success of Bongo's Bingo is undoubtedly down to host Johnny Bongo and his sidekicks Sweaty Betty and Peggy, who between them whip the crowd into a frenzy with a combination of chaos, hilarity, cash prizes and, by their own admission, plenty of shit prizes, too.

The first ever Leeds event will take place on December 9 at Canal Mills, and you can purchase a ticket here. Bearing in mind how popular the events are elsewhere, it might be worth getting in quick with this one.
