Life imitates art, well, a mediocre Disney film, as Dippy the diplodocus, a 109 year old cast of a dinosaur skeleton, is going out on the road.

Like something from 'One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing', Dippy may well be heading to a venue near you in a few year's time. Why?

He's greeted visitors to the Natural History Museum in London since 1979 but now needs to find a new home there as the museum prepares for the arrival of a real skeleton, this time of a blue whale.

Venues around the country are being asked if they'd like to pay host to Dippy whist this happens so, how about it Leeds?

Do you want to get down with Dippy? Where do you think would make a great place to see him?

Venues can start applying to host him from September, so get your favourite places to sign up at www.nhm.ac.uk/dippyontour.
