Fireworks and Bonfire Night events in and around Leeds

There's no shortage of Bonfire Night and fireworks displays this year, with Leeds City Council organising half a dozen events across the city. These are complemented by parties large and small offering the chance to eat, drink, listen to live music and warm yourself by the fire while the night sky is filled with colours.

Thursday November 5

Roundhay Park Firework Display
Join tens of thousands of others for what is considered the biggest and most popular firework display in the city, held in Roundhay Park's Soldiers Field. 

Rounday Park Firework Display. Bonfire lit 7.30pm, fireworks from 8pm. Rounday Park, Princes Avenue, Leeds, LS8 2HH. Free entry. More details here.

The Gunpowder Conspiracy at Sheaf Street Cafeteria
Join the Flying Dog Brewery for an alternative Guy Fawkes party, the Gunpowder Conspiracy. Expect craft beer, street food, toasted marshmallows and sparklers for everyone – not forgetting live music from the famous Old Dirty Brasstards.

Bramley Park Fireworks Display
After Roundhay Park, this is one of six traditional bonfire and firework displays run by Leeds City Council, held at community parks across the city. Better still, they're free to attend.

East End Park Fireworks Display
A traditional bonfire and firework displays run by Leeds City Council. For those based east of the centre, head to East End Park for this free display.

Middleton Park Fireworks Display
Another bonfire and firework display organised by Leeds City Council. This one is held in the impressive Middleton Park in south Leeds.

Springhead Park Fireworks Display
Yet another free bonfire and firework display to thank the council for. This event will light up the sky above Springhead Park in Rothwell.

Woodhouse Moor Fireworks Display
Located next to the University of Leeds, the Woodhouse Moor community park will be hosting a free bonfire and fireworks display for those in the city centre to enjoy.

Bonfire Night at The Mustard Pot
With only a limited garden, the Mustard Pot in Chapel Allerton admits that it cannot host the most spectacular fireworks display. However, it plans to make up for this lack of grandness with a bonfire, homemade chilli, pie and peas, Yorkshire parkin and winter Pimms.

The Chemic Tavern Bonfire Party
Live music pub The Chemic Tavern is hosting a bonfire party, which will be less about fireworks and more about an evening of ska, punk, roots, reggae and dancehall hip hop.

Fulneck Golf Club Bonfire Night
Promising to be even bigger and better than ever, you can watch this family friendly bonfire and fireworks night from the club terrace, while enjoying pie and peas or a toffee apple.

South Milford Cricket Club Bonfire and Fireworks Display
Enjoy a bonfire and fireworks display in South Milford village. This family event will have food, including pie and peas, burgers, toffee apples and parkin, along with hot punch and cold drinks. You can also grab a pint at The Swan next door, which is having a night of live music.

The Hunslet Club Fireworks Night
This youth activity club in Hunslet is hosting a free fireworks night from 6pm. Along with the display, you can tuck into pie and peas, hot dogs, chips and tuck shop sweets.

Finally, you could head to Holbeck Working Mens club for fireworks, hot food and something to drink, too.
