It's safe to say that Friends of Ham has proved to be a popular destination with the food lovers of Leeds since it first opened in 2012.

Not only has its menu packed with quality meats and cheeses and its selection of craft ales made Friends of Ham one of the most Instagrammed destinations in the city, the eating and drinking establishment became popular enough to warrant a £150,000 expansion into a neighbouring unit in August 2014.

Now it appears that business is properly booming, with the news that owners and founders Anthony Kitching and wife Claire will be soon opening another site in Ilkley.

The second Friends of Ham has taken over the former offices of the 'Ilkley Gazette' on Wells Road and has set an opening date for 10am on August 21.

The ground floor and basement of the Victorian building is in the process of being transformed into an appealing new eatery, complete with a tasting room, delicatessen, log burner and outdoor seating.

As we can expect, the new Friends of Ham will be offering its Ilkley customers a familiar selection of specialist beers, wine, sherry, cheeses and charcuterie.
