Those long summer days are just around the corner, hopefully, and Lotherton Hall has plenty to make sure they're filled with things to do, as the summer holiday sees six weeks of activity at the country house and estate.

Things get off to a 'throw back century' start with Edwardian Holidays Week from Sat 18 - Sun 26 July where modern families can get to see how their Edwardian ancestors celebrated the summer.

Wildlife Week follows from Mon 27 July to Sun 2 August, giving you the chance to get to know the fantastic array of birds and animals which live in the grounds. There are going to nature trails and craft activity.

Mon 3 to Sun 9 August goes Back to the Fifties, inspired by their exhibition, The Age Of Glamour, followed by Lotherton Pets Week. Lady Gasgoine loved her dogs, there's even a small pet cemetery there, and the pet week culminates on Sat 15 August when the Tailwaggers club sees Lotherton Dog's Day Out with demonstrations, prizes and canine activity.

From Mon 17 – Sun 23 August you can be inspired by all of the wonderful collections of objects and wallpapers in the house or even the deer grazing in the grounds and make various handmade crafts and gifts in Handmade at Lotherton Week.

And towards the end of the summer, there's Old Science Week from Mon 24 to Sun 30 August, where experiments, games and activities will explore science, all in the setting of a country house.

All of the summer events are drop in activities between 10am and 3pm and are included in the admission charge to the hall.
