The really Wild West show hit Leeds at the weekend

A Wild West shootout in a Leeds shopping centre, you say? You're darn tootin' right there was. Living history group The Trailblazers, who've been living out their wildest Billy the Kid fantasies since 1994, rode into Leeds' indoor Morley Market at the weekend all guns blazing.

The cowboy gang were invited to stage their gunfight by the good folk at Morley in order to rustle up interest in the market. The Trailblazers obliged and brought along antique and reproduction guns and other old-timey objects to show off before they got into it and staged a fight to shame Hollywood.

If you're quick on the draw and fancy donning some spurs, The Trailblazers, who use any funds raised to bolster their armoury and help local charities, are based at the The Yorkshire Museum of Farming where they're often found re-enacting the gunfight at the OK Corral on bank holiday weekends.

If you like this, you'll love The Royal Armouries.
