After taking over the former site of Sam's Chophouse with a £1.2m refit, Stockdales of Yorkshire is filling the traditional, quintessentially British void with a hearty serving of something our nation cares very, very deeply for: steak.
With 100 covers plus a sociable bar area, the menu - created in partnership with Anthony Flinn and Jonathan Elvin - hones in on prime cuts of beef aged for 28 days and seared over coal in the Jospur oven, a combination that gives the meat an unforgettable flavour.
Along with meaty highlights including the ever-fashionable Wagyu, celebrated around the globe for its unique marbling, elsewhere on the menu you'll also find lighter alternatives such as gin cured salmon, duck egg and truffle soldiers, as well as a chargrilled caesar salad.
