Afogados no deserto

The years turned into decades without any respite for refugees from Saharawi. Lost in the vastness of the desert and the neglect of the government, they survive on their Algerian camps, in a hostile land where they arrived four decades ago after being unjustly expelled. This is a drama that Gabriel Tizón has documented and turned into a series of photographs that show the daily life of these men and women, true heroes and heroines.
