New Yorker Joan Jonas immerses visitors to the Thyssen Museum in a marine world. The artist has spent the last three years doing research in aquariums and on the coasts of Jamaica into the role that the ocean plays in different cultures, from a perspective of both nature and spirituality. The exhibition displays several audiovisual pieces that address different marine themes, along with drawings and sculptures that Jonas has developed in her research.
