Antonio López. ‘Lavabo y espejo’, 1967

Amalia Avia, Francisco López, Julio López, María Moreno, Esperanza Parada, Isabel Quintanilla and Antonio López feature in this exhibition that has been lacking in local museums for quite some time. It's a tribute to realist painters and sculptors who have lived and worked in Madrid. This show of 75 pieces including oils, sculptures, reliefs and drawings, come from the artists' own collections, international institutions and private collections. It's divided into three sections: 'From still life to window', 'Patio and street' and 'The figure'. All include works by different artists to show how they're related and the links between them, whether those are personal, through family or through friends, or even through their eduction.
