Time Out says

This square in the Cheuca district is one of the biggest in the area. It's named after the politician, writer and philosopher Juan Vázquez de Mella, and the famous writer Ramón de Mesonero Romanos lived in one of the streets off the square. There's an underground car park, and the square is a popular spot for performances during the city's annual Gay Pride celebrations.
