Next to the Biblioteca Nacional you’ll find another fun palace full of jewels from another time. At Alegoría, you can dance beneath a huge chandelier, make your way up to the second floor via an 18^th century gothic staircase or take a selfie along with one of the portraits that preside over the dance floor. The decoration at this 1,600 square metre establishment is a show in itself. The clientele tend to be upper middle class and there’s a 200 place garage with valet parking for customers.
