Once owned by Movida legend Alaska, Morocco has two feet firmly planted in the past. Its history stretches back to 1953, when it first opened and staged clandestine dances to daring new rhythms during the repressive years of the Franco regime. From its '80s decor and crowd, everything here smacks of days gone by. The DJ mixes mainly classic Spanish pop with today's nu flamenco. Despite all this throwback action, it's still great fun, being completely free of pretension and brimming with dancefloor energy.
