Westin Palace Hotel

Located in the middle of Madrid’s Art Triangle, between the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofía museums, Hotel Westin Palace has been a landmark ever since King Alfonso XIII commissioned its construction as a place to greet visiting members of high society in Madrid at the beginning of the last century. Throughout its history, the hotel, which is famous for its glass dome and the events held there, has served as a refuge for personalities like Picasso, Dalí, Einstein and Madame Curie.

I have been staying regularly at the Westin Palace for years. It is one of the best of Madrid, by location, service, and quality. Depending on your budget you could go to a standard room or a Junior suite or executive suite. The latter are almost 90 sq. meter apartments many with 1 and a half bathrooms and all with a living/dining room besides a huge bedroom.  The place itself it is  traditional in decor, so no modern design motifs or minimalist design. It is grand without being grandiose.  The beds are the usual "heavenly bed" that you find in all Westins and are the best in the business in my experience. Room service 24/7 is great. The restaurants in the hotel from the posh Asia Gallery to the more affordable Green Tea Sushi are very good. And if you fancy high tea or a coffee the "lobby" bar underneath the Rotonda is a classic in Madrid. The Staff is attentive, always smiling and knowledgeable. In short, a great hotel in one of the best locations in Madrid

We are staying at this so called 5star hotel .the night before New Year's Eve can't get in main room and ate in Chinese, but all we could hear was at best a street singer trying to practice for new year . Rôle up role up tickets are only 575 euros yes 575 euros, no wonder they don't care about anyone else shocking
