Don't be put off by the forbidding exterior, the only thing not dancing inside Torero is a wall-mounted bull's head that stares down impassively at the mostly local crowd. The ground floor gyrates to a mixture of Spanish and Latin beats, while on the floor below house reverberates off the red-brick walls. The place’s unusual architecture is one of its strong points. Its low, arched ceilings give it an intimate atmosphere that is complemented by the armchairs and cushions on the lower floor. No trainers.
