David Hooper & The Silverbacks

The programme for the Madrid Es Negro music festival includes this special night dedicated to Tucxone Records, a Madrid-based label and recording studio created and designed in the old style of the great American music labels that sign black artists. The house's big act is The Silverbacks, a outfit that participates in different projects that come out of this factory of pure groove.

Their latest project is the launch of singer David Hooper from Houston, Texas, with a voice that has a gift emtionally charged songs, as is the case with other musicians who make Tucxone their artistic home. Hooper will use the occasion to present, along with The Silverbacks, his first album, reminiscent of sounds of the US south.
