The Nordic culture is picking up fans around the globe these days, and loads of them are in Madrid. So many, in fact, that the Nordic Days Festival, which started as a small gathering, has attracted more acts and more fans every edition. This year things kick off on Saturday, September 6, and will carry on until November before heading off to areas of Latin America. To inaugurate this fifth edition of the multidisciplinary festival dedicated mainly to the cultural scene in Nordic countries, there will be a free concert on Saturday in the Sala Cats.
Lydmor (Denmark), Thomas Dybdahl (Norway), Dísa (Iceland), Old (Sweden) and Black Twig (Finland) will be on hand to entertain the crowds. You can download your invitation from the festival's website, but hurry! Doors open at 6.30pm, the concert starts at 7.10pm, and when the hall fills up, no one else gets in.
