Spring is a is a floral season for music and its lovers. It's a time when concerts bloom and flourish, as do special musical events such as this 22nd edition of the Aranjuez Festival of Early Music. You'll be in the midst of great tradition, as works recovered for the occasion include such treasures as five previously unreleased Antonio Vivaldi sonatas from the Graz Manuscripts, not performed for more than three centuries. The programme this year consists of five concerts and Musical Stroll through the Jardín del Principe gardens, which will take you from Andalusian music to Bach and Bocherini, along little-know scores from Manalt and the Plá brothers to compositions played on the lute by rock legends such as Sting, Genesis keyboardist Tony Banks, and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.
