The ice cream parlour brought to you by the most famous brothers in the world of gastronomy has arrived in Madrid. Created by Jordi Roca, pastry chef and owner along with his brothers, Joan and Josep, from El Celler de Can Roca, and Jordi's wife, Alejandra Rivas, opened the third location of this dream ice cream parlour in the Gourmet Experience area of El Corte Inglés (C/Serrano) in January 2015. The initial idea of the venture was to create a classic artisanal ice cream cart, and it then developed into this fun place with decoration that brings 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' to mind.
The Rocas have opted for a simple but very creative formula: there are only six flavours (four are basic, such as chocolate and vanilla, and two change according to the season) to which you can add all kinds of toppings, from cookie pieces to dehydrated fruit. They also offer artisan coffee and pastries (definitely try their croissants!). A must for lovers of truly good ice cream.
