This state-of-the-art 16,000-capacity sports palace was inaugurated in early 2005 and occupies the site where its predecessor stood until it was destroyed by fire four years previously. It is a multi-purpose venue which can host a wide range of indoor sports thanks to a modern system of retractable stands. As well as sports, you can catch spectacles such as Disney on Ice or any number of rock concerts: Springsteen, Depeche Mode and Coldplay have all performed here.
