His ‘mechanical knight’ is considered to be the first humanoid robot because if its potential for remote control and anthropomorphism. We’ve developed more and more complex robots since then, of course, from the Victorian era automata to the union of cybernetics and new mechanics, which gave a historical push to mid-20th-century devices. But the real emergence of robotics has come along with 21st-century digitalization and artificial intelligence. Where will the future of robotics take us?
