Can't cook, won't cook: ten restaurants that deliver to your door

Restaurants that deliver rather than the usual takeaways seem to be all the rage at the moment. With more places in the city centre working with companies like City Waiters and Deliveroo, if you've found your lunch a little wanting or fancied a restaurant-cooked meal from the comfort of your own home, here are ten places now providing delivery right to your door.

Crazy Pedros
Oh yes. The bar that started as a pop-up and grew so popular it stuck around, now brings its food to you. So that carb-a-licious Chicken and Waffle creation, the fresh and delicious Nacho Libre with its salsa and taco topping, or the lip-stingingly spicy Kingston Rock could be your dinner tonight - and you don't even have to leave the house. Admittedly, the crazy cocktails aren’t on the list, but if you need a something to quench your thirst, there’s a great selection of softs and one or two beers on their list.

Splendid Kitchen
FRIED CHICKEN TO YOUR OFFICE. It's easy to get very excited at the thought of SK’s fried chicken and gravy winging (cycling) its way to you. And their macaroni cheese. And their ultimate in comfort food, eggs Benedict fries. They’ve a big beer selection and some great wine choices too. Not ideal for the office, but a quiet date night in with a film? Perfect.

Umezushi
Who doesn't love sushi! Umezushi definitely offers some of the best with fresh fish, perfectly sticky rice and the addictive pickled ginger. It’s also so good for you it qualifies as health food. So that means we can eat more, right? That platter is looking awfully tempting right now, served with a pickle platter and some fresh juice.

SoLIta
Almost at the other end of the spectrum are creators of the nationally famous Big Manc, SoLIta. Take a look at cheeseburger spring rolls, deep fried mac ‘n’ cheese, and their pulled pork sundae for starters. And, though it's a little disappointing not to spot the huge six person version of the Big Manc on the delivery menu, that’s probably a good thing for our waistlines and productivity levels. Ready for a food coma?

Tampopo
Noodles, those eternal fixers of hangovers, are all over the Tampopo menu. Stir fries, soups and curries abound, along with dumplings, prawn crackers and salads. More suited for a Friday night in after a long week rather than office delivery - that late afternoon meeting with the boss might not go so well after a spicy lunch.

Bollywood Masala
And speaking of spice, Bollywood Masala has a fantastic menu available for delivery featuring curries, pakoras and a long list of their own specialities. The range of fresh breads on offer will make your mouth water. Peshwari naan anyone?

Carluccio’s
The classy offerings of both Carluccio’s Piccadilly and Carluccio’s Spinningfields might just be perfect for date night. Fresh pasta, grilled meat and seafood and delightful Italian produce couldn’t fail to woo the object of your affections. All the flavour, none of the effort, more time spent with your date.

Lucha Libre
If you've got a little bit of a guacamole fixation, Lucha Libre is a must - especially as there’s the option of bacon jam on top and fresh tortilla chips for dunking. Plus don't forget the tacos, which are ideal finger food and surprisingly filling. And of course, lots of little sharing things mean you can get a little of everything, the platters are great value and mean no-one misses out.

Philpotts
Still fancy a traditional sandwich? Sometimes you can’t beat a butty, especially when it’s a two hour lunchtime meeting and your boss is in a bad mood. Put in the order and save yourself from their hangry face.

Wahu
Wahu have a small but perfectly formed menu, ideal for those on that dreaded low carb diet. If you're a gym bunny, you can order your grub on the way home from a workout. After all, once you’ve completed a heavy weights session, who can actually lift the pan to cook?
