Albert Hall continues to attract some of the biggest and best names in music and it's hard to believe that the place was derelict before the Trof group and Manchester International Festival took it on to bring part of MIF13 to life. In fact you can see what it looked like with a series of images taken before the hall re-opened.

Since then it has become one of the best-loved venues in the city, and now that Albert's Schloss has opened in the downstairs, former Brannigans area, it's not just music providing the reasons to go along.

On Friday October 30 tickets go on sale for a new raft of gigs at the venue, and the line up is a bit special.

Suede, Tuesday February 9, 7pm
Playing their new album in full, plus a screening of a new film about the band.

Savages, Monday February 22, 7pm
With the release of their forthcoming second album comes this Manchester date in the post-punk band's tour.

Father John Misty, Friday May 13, 7pm
He sold out at Gorilla recently and he was tremendous - you'd better be quick for a ticket.

Wilco, Friday November 18, 7pm
The Chicago based boys embark on a tour towards the end of 2016.

On sale times vary so check Albert Hall's website for details.
