Our February 2016 "Pitch-Your-Peers" Event will focus on preparing for the Brooks Museum's upcoming centennial. There will be a Centennial Celebration in early May, and we want to get your input on how to make it an unforgettable event. Join us at the Museum this Thursday, February 4th, at 5:00pm, to hear about some ideas for the celebration, have a glass of wine, and meet the presenters.

Who is presenting?

Paul Thomas, Art in the Dark Recycle King
Leni Stoeva, Creative Placemaker | Memphis Slim House
Vishant Shah, Director of Research | Greater Memphis Alliance for a Competitive Workforce

All the proposals were reviewed by ArtsMemphis and the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Only three were chosen to be showcased at the Pitch-Your-Peers event on February 4th. Each presenter will have five minutes total: two minutes for your pitch; two minutes for questions; and one minute to make closing remarks.

It's not too late to pitch your idea for the Brooks Centennial Celebration. Come to the event and leave your idea with the Brooks Museum Staff.

What is Pitch-Your-Peers?

Pitch-Your-Peers is a quarterly networking event where we assemble five leaders from all over Memphis and we give them each five minutes to "pitch" a bold new idea or request for help to the community at large. Sometimes the pitch is an invitation to collaborate or an appeal for in-kind donations; sometimes it's simply a call for honest feedback on an upcoming project. All are welcome to attend this free event at the Brooks Museum on February 4, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. ArtsMemphis will provide complimentary refreshments and snacks.
