Time Out says

The first thing you see crossing Alameda Norte’s main entrance is a great obelisk made up by two towers. The cobblestone square is not your best bet if you’re looking to run or cycle as there are many green areas.

The Alameda has many options for recreation: running track, cycling path, playgrounds and workout machines. The skatepark near the obelisk, though not big, has enough space for you to enjoy your skateboard.

Dogs must be on a leash, but you can set them free in the park areas. The place also has a nice kiosk, but this isn’t the only spot in the shade: there are gazebos equipped with a grill available for rent at the reception. Keep in mind that gas and wood stoves are prohibited.

On weekends you can rent bicycles and inflatable games; on Sunday mornings there are dog training classes in the outdoor theatre located at the back. Even though the parking lot is small, you are very likely to find a spot; vehicular access is through Matlacoatl St.
