Time Out says

Magie is Little River's answer to Lagniappe in Midtown, a cozy and casual wine bar where you can pair your bottles or single-serving cans of vino with aperitivo-style snacks like cheeses, meats, olives, tinned fish and other victuals easily accessed from a self-service fridge. Carry your loot up to the counter to check out, then find your place at one of the low-slung seats inside or out in the garden. Like its neighborhood, the atmosphere here is decidedly more grown up and laidback back than Lagniappe, which consistently pulls in a younger, more raucous crowd. Magie hosts fun programming as well, like a monthly Somm Club, a full moon party with tarot and flash tattoos and hi-fi listening parties, along with cool culinary pop-ups with the likes of Bar Gilda and Pizzella.

What’s on

4th of July Bash at Magie Wine Bar

As usual, Magie doesn't skip out on an excuse to throw a party, they're just way more chill about it. To celebrate Independence Day this year, the original Magie natty wine bungalow in Little River hosts a laid-back Fourth of July bash on Sunday, July 6th. From noon to 4pm, hang out in the light-dappled back patio to partake in water balloon games, a raw bar and seafood boil pop-up by the Lazy Oyster and plenty of crushable summer pours from Magie’s curated wine list. The team will also be grilling up backyard BBQ classics, should you need something a little more substantial to soak up all that vino.
