For a night out that feels less chaotic and more cinematic, head downstairs at the Faena.
Tucked into the lower level of the Faena Hotel Miami Beach, this late-night lounge oozes golden-age glamour. The room is saturated in red velvet and gold, designed by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann as part of the hotel’s theatrical overhaul of this stretch of Collins Avenue. It operates more like a tight European club than a sprawling Miami mega-venue, favoring intimacy over excess.
Scale is everything here. The space is small enough that once it fills in, the energy feels contained and deliberate. You’re not navigating multiple rooms or battling LED walls; you’re in one moody, jewel-toned space, close to the DJ, properly dressed and holding a serious cocktail. The crowd skews international thanks to the hotel upstairs, with locals mixed in who prefer their nightlife polished rather than chaotic.
Arrive before 11pm. After midnight, the line stiffens and table reservations dominate the floor. If you’re going without a table, early entry is the difference between slipping in smoothly and watching the velvet rope work overtime.
