Coyo Taco’s Scott Linquist will be debuting his own take on a Vietnamese Deli inside Wynwood’s new Asian food hall, 1-800-Lucky. When Lucky’s doors open on Wednesday, November 29, Linquist’s new Les Banh Amis will be one of the seven vendors serving traditional Asian fare.

The specialty of Les Banh Amis will be the bánh mì ($9 to $12), a French-influenced Vietnamese sandwich that goes very nicely with a cold beer (or anything, really).

Linquist says he will be making everything from scratch: hoisin sauce, fermented chili paste, mayonnaise, pickles, liver pate, headcheese, cured pork loin and more. The only thing getting outsourced will be the bread and sausage, though both are coming from two Miami favorites—Sullivan Street Bakery and Proper Sausage, respectively.

Initially, Les Banh Amis will serve sandwiches, bowls, pho (only on the weekends though) and Vietnamese iced coffee. Linquist hopes to expand the menu to salads, rolls and Vietnamese desserts eventually. Les Banh Amis will be open daily from 5pm to 3am.
