DJ Danny Avila may have just turned 21 years old this year but he’s been a regular of the nightclub circuit for nearly a decade now. “I’ve never let my age stop me from doing anything,” he said. His underage status also hasn’t kept the Spanish-born DJ from landing more than 50 gigs in Miami over the last three years, including the one he’ll be playing this weekend at LIV. These days, Avila is quite the Miami Beach regular, frequenting the same spots every time he’s in town. Before taking the stage this weekend to perform his newest single, “High” featuring Hailene, here’s where you’ll likely to catch him fueling up and chilling out.

Barceloneta
I have to be honest: I miss Spanish food so, so much when I’m on the road. I have to come to this place every time I’m in Miami. It’s top notch!

Hakkasan
I had my first residency in Vegas when I was 18, which is funny because I wasn’t even allowed to go to the clubs. Before every show, they’d take me to Hakkasan and I loved it. Then I found out there was a Hakkasan at Fontainebleau Miami Beach—the food is just delicious.

LIV
Sometimes, it’s not about the name or how famous a club is that makes you like it, rather the people that run it and how they treat you. LIV was one of the first clubs that believed in me during my first USA tour back in 2013. Every time I’m there I feel like I’m home.

Fogo De Chao
Steak is always top three for me on any menu. So imagine my face when I found out there was a place in Miami Beach where you can eat as much meat as you want. This place is unbelievable!

Story
I like Story’s underground feel. Every time I play there, I end up playing three or four hours because there is a great connection with the crowd—it feels like they never want to leave. I love it!
