Good news: you won’t need drugs to have an out-of-this-world experience at III Points Music, Art, & Technology Festival this year. The Miami-based event is partnering with Fusion to bring its Mars 2030 virtual reality experience to festivalgoers, giving them the opportunity to take a walk on the red planet.

This isn’t a carnival ride; the NASA-approved, multisensory installation provides a realistic glimpse into what it was like for astronauts during their first expedition to Mars. Think a souped-up video game (users maneuver with an Xbox controller) powered by music, imagery (the planet’s topography was created using data provided by NASA) and technology that allows guests to take an interactive walk through Mars’ mountainous terrain.

Unlike the disco-happy soundtrack for The Martian, Mars 2030 will feature other-worldly tunes created by the London Symphony Orchestra, which you may recognize from its work on such little-known films as Star Wars and Aliens. Cue the scariest, non-drug-related trip you've ever taken.
