1. California roaster Blue Bottle Coffee is officially open in the Miami Design District (3818 NE First Ave). The minimalist café, with outposts in New York, L.A., San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Tokyo, is inside one of the neighborhood’s sleek parking garages. Oh, and that long slab of concrete? It’s a communal table, which might take a while to catch on in stranger-averse Miami.

2. The Shops at Merrick Park has signaled the start of the holiday season: Effective immediately, the high-end Coral Gables mall is offering free self-parking in the evening (from 6pm to 2am) through the end of the year. That means more cash to spend on presents (for yourself).

3. Berri Bar, Lincoln Road’s first acai specialty spot, is open for business. The fast-casual spot features a fancy acai machine, which supposedly cuts down on blending and guarantees a smooth consistency every time (1630 Pennsylvania Ave).
