Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which means thousands of South Florida couples will all put on something nice, shuffle out the door and tuck into a slightly overpriced meal while proclaiming loudly, for all of Instagram, that they are in love. But maybe you want to do something on Valentine’s Day that sidesteps your average three-course meal. We like your style. And we’ve rounded up some events happening in the 305 that offer live music, crazy drink deals, selfie booths and more offerings that go above and beyond your typical V-Day dinner.

1. III Points dinner and a show
In partnership with the reliably delicious Fooq’s, III Points is offering a limited amount of spots for a special three-course pop-up dinner during the headliner set of your choice. Tables come with a prime view of the main stage and dinners will be booked according to set times, so you and your lover can catch your favorite headliner while sharing a romantic meal and complimentary bottle of the Palm by Whispering Angel. Feb 14 at various times; $50.

2. Valentine’s Day at Boombox
Our new Midtown lounge/music venue has some sweet deals for ladies this V-Day: free drinks. Ladies can drink free all night long and the open bar includes Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire, Bacardi Superior, Tequila Cazadores—which should be more than enough to drown away any romantic stress. Fellas, you can’t drink free but there are specials on Bacardi single malts with CBD Honey pairings. Feb 14 at 7pm; free.

3. Get Lei'd at the Anderson
One of our favorite cocktail lounges has some nice deals this Valentine’s Day. In addition to live music from the reggae group Dry Reef Band, ladies can enjoy specials on all wines and wells from 10pm till close. Feb 14 at 6pm; free.

4. Basement Miami
Our trusty Miami Beach bowling/ice skating/nightclub is offering complimentary ice skating for couples. But fear not, single people. Basement has your back too with $5 rosé, $5 mescal shots and $75 bottles of Moet Brut Champagne. Maybe partake in that good stuff after the ice skating. Feb 14 at 5pm; free.

5. 1-800-Lucky
The Wynwood food hall is here for the ladies this Valentine’s Day. In addition to their very tasty offerings (don’t skip the Taiyaki fish cones), there’ll be a DJ spinning on the back patio and plenty of singles looking for love. The entire night will be dedicated to the single ladies, in particular, and ladies drink free from 9pm to midnight. Feb 14 at 9pm; free.

6. Valentine's Day Under Sunlit Sky
Gerald Plaza wants people to come celebrate love underneath its new glittery installation, Sunlit Sky. To help convince you, there putting on some live music, giving away complimentary flowers, sweets and putting up a selfie booth. Feb 14 at 6:30pm; free.

7. Love Is All You Need at The Wynwood Yard
The Wynwood Yard—which is celebrating its last few weeks at the current location—is all about the music on Valentine’s Day. Its Love Is All You Need V-Day concert lineup features a live performance by local favorite The State Of alongside local DJ Carmel Ophir. After you’re done dancing, wiggle over to the bar for drink specials such as $4 red hot shots, $8 prosecco and more. Feb 14 at 7pm; free.

8. Valentines Day at The Cabaret
The Cabaret South Beach is getting nice and sensual for Valentine’s Day. Find this cozy little lounge inside the Shelborne South Beach.
