Grab your pinkest outfit and start manifesting your DreamHouse moment: Barbie is coming to Fort Lauderdale. Mattel has announced Barbie Dream Fest, the first-ever official fan convention dedicated entirely to the world’s most famous doll, landing at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center from March 27–29, 2026.

The three-day extravaganza promises a full-scale dose of Barbie magic, blending nostalgia, empowerment and glitter in equal measure. Guests will be able to walk through a life-size DreamHouse recreated room by room, lace up their skates for an ‘80s-style disco rink glowing with neon lights or strut their stuff in the high-energy Ultimate Barbie Fashion Show.

There will also be a “Totally Hair” beauty bar, complete with glitter and crimps for a modern makeover, while the Limitless Dream Wall will invite visitors to share their biggest aspirations in a sprawling collaborative art piece. For anyone who prefers mindfulness over makeovers, morning “Dream Flow” yoga sessions will offer Barbie-branded zen.

Panels and workshops will highlight Barbie’s legacy of imagination and self-expression, featuring trailblazing women in science, tech and design alongside the creative minds who bring the brand to life.

“Barbie Dream Fest is a celebration of everything Barbie stands for—imagination, self-expression and the belief that you can be anything,” said Julie Freeland, vice president of global location-based entertainment at Mattel, in an official statement. “This event brings that legacy to life in a completely new and immersive way.”

Produced by Mischief Management (the team behind BroadwayCon and EnchantiCon), the event aims to merge fandom and inspiration for Barbie lovers of all ages.

“Barbie has always been about dreaming without limits and Barbie Dream Fest is our boldest celebration of that spirit yet,” said Melissa Anelli, CEO of Mischief Management, in an official statement. “From immersive worlds to joyful moments of connection, this event will be a love letter to generations of fans who’ve been inspired to dream big.”

Each day of the festival will also shine a spotlight on a different nonprofit through Mattel’s Barbie Dream Gap Project, including Girls Inc. of Greater Miami, Girls on the Run and Step Up, welcoming hundreds of local girls to experience the celebration.

Tickets go on presale Tuesday, October 21, at 1pm and open to the public Thursday, October 23. Pink glitter optional—but highly encouraged.
