Ever notice that influencers seem to always be eating, drinking and living better than you? Yeah, us too—and we want in. So each week, we ask one of these in-the-know Miamians to share their access and answer a city-centric burning question.

What are the coziest reading spots in Miami?

We asked Stephanie Popko of @d0g_eared, and here’s where the voracious reader tucks into a new tome.

“I adore finding new places to read around the city, and two of my absolute favorite spots are the Pérez Art Museum Miami, and The Café at Books & Books in Coral Gables.

At the Pérez Art Museum, you don’t even have to go inside the museum to appreciate the beauty of the place, but you’re going to want to. There are polished concrete stairs that double as seats leading down to the bay, wooden Adirondack chairs abound, and even swings! Everywhere you turn you’re surrounded by towering hanging gardens, spectacular views and great reading spots, all while being in downtown Miami. Just go, you won’t regret it.

(Tip: Pérez Art Museum is also an event hotspot. It has extended hours every Thursday (10am–9pm), and they also offer free admission on the first Thursday of every month, as well as an Art Storytime which is free for children and members.)

At Books & Books in Coral Gables, you’ll be surrounded by the best of both worlds: coffee and books! It’s quaint and stylish, with floor-to-ceiling shelves and a broad selection in both English and Spanish.

(Tip: Books & Books is constantly hosting unique occasions such as their farm-to-table dinners, various author events and storytime & crafts for kids. They also have a cute outdoor bar with great wine and beer options, flanked by a selection of global magazines.)

Here’s what I’ll be reading this fall: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I invite you to read along with me!”
