May flowers have bloomed in Coral Gables, in a very big way—literally. "Bouquet," a stunning new interactive art installation of giant flowers, has taken over the central courtyard at the Shops at Merrick Park, bringing a burst of playful energy and brilliant color to the heart of the city.

Created by acclaimed Québec scenographer Olivier Landreville, co-designed by GGP and powered by Creos, this larger-than-life exhibition features five tree-sized floral sculptures that are not only the perfect backdrop for your social media feed, but also a fully immersive, hands-on experience.

"Bouquet" is public art that's all about participation. Slide onto the star-shaped seating at the base of each giant flower, then turn the central handwheel to rotate the translucent petals overhead. As the canopy spins, it casts a kaleidoscope of colorful light and shifting shadows across the ground below.

Beyond its visual charm, the installation offers a practical perk: welcome shade from the intense Miami May heat. You can also take a short interactive quiz to discover which of the five distinct floral styles best reflects your personality.

"Interactive art like 'Bouquet' transforms public space into something memorable and participatory, encouraging guests not just to shop, but to stay, explore, and connect," says Andrew Barton, SVP of Creative and Brand Strategy at GGP.

The downside of this fabulous floral feature, however, is that—like most bunches of flowers—it's ephemeral. Miami marks the grand national debut of 'Bouquet' before it heads off on a five-city U.S. tour, with upcoming stops in North Carolina, Las Vegas, suburban Chicago and Texas. So that means you have just a short time to check it out. It will only be blooming in Coral Gables through May 28.

The installation is entirely free and open to the public during regular shopping center hours. Be sure to catch this magical blend of art, engineering and play before the petals move on.
