This summer, The Plaza Coral Gables is getting a massive injection of Italian flair with the arrival of Zuccaly, the city’s first Italian food hall. Brought to you by the Da Silva Hospitality Group (the geniuses behind neighborhood favorite Zucca), this 8,000-square-foot Italian paradise promises to bring the vibrant rhythm of a Roman piazza straight to South Florida.

Led by Corporate Chef Manuel Garcia, whose impressive resume includes Michelin-starred kitchens in France, Zuccaly aims to be a "gastronomic ecosystem under one roof." In other words, a delicious, 200-seat wonderland featuring six distinct food stations that celebrate the regional flavors of Italy.

If you’re a pizza purist, your first stop will be the LaBiga station. Here, they'll be serving up Roman-style pizza al taglio using the traditional "biga" pre-fermentation method. It results in a light, airy and highly digestible crust, which is excellent news because it leaves plenty of room for everything else.

From there, you can wander over to Pasta and Risotto for bowls of fresh, house-made comfort or visit the Grilling Steaks and Fish station to watch your dinner sizzle over a live-wood fire. Looking for a quick bite? The PortaVia Gastro Market acts as a high-end deli counter packed with Wagyu carpaccio, fresh burrata and ready-to-go lasagnas. If you want something green, Il Giardino has you covered with fresh salads. And whatever you do, do not skip the Dolci station, which is practically overflowing with house-made gelato, tiramisu and fluffy bomboloni.

Designed by Lorena Manrique and Hapstack Demetriou, the space is inspired by the sun-drenched Tuscan countryside, decked out in warm yellows, earthy oranges and deep greens. It’s cozy, chic and designed for leisurely sits.

Embracing the urban energy of the neighborhood, the food hall will host a weekday 2-for-1 Happy Hour from Monday through Friday. The bar program is a love letter to the Italian aperitivo ritual, featuring perfectly mixed Negronis, Americanos and Spritzes. There’s also a dedicated coffee program for your daily espresso fix.
