Inter Miami’s long-awaited new stadium is officially coming into focus—and it’s not just another field of dreams. Slated to open in spring 2026, Miami Freedom Park is a $1 billion mega-project rising near Miami International Airport, complete with a 25,000-seat stadium, 750-room hotel, public parkland and even a glass-walled tunnel club where fans can ogle players en route to the pitch.
Construction is in full swing, and on June 24, members of the media got a hard-hat peek inside what will become the flashiest soccer stage in the league. “We want to make sure that when we open, we’re ready and it’s not rushed,” Graham Oxley, vice president of Miami Freedom Park, told the Miami Herald. “The goal and what we’re aiming for is for all of our home matches to be here.”

That means Messi, who is expected to extend his contract through 2026, could make his grand stadium debut just as he wraps up his historic career.
Designed with an elevated main concourse, tiered seating and the largest canopy in Major League Soccer, the stadium’s showpiece roof will stretch from the pitch over the spectator areas, offering shade and storm resilience in equal measure. Inside, premium spaces like the East and West Clubs, Loge Boxes and luxe dining areas are already generating buzz—and big price tags: Five-year Loge packages run up to $60,520.
The rest of the development is just as ambitious. Built on the former Melreese golf course, Miami Freedom Park will also include a retail village, office park and 58-acre public park, all privately funded. Fans can drive (there are 5,000 parking spots) or arrive by rail and stroll across a planned footbridge from the airport's Intermodal Center.

Inter Miami is working the hype angle, too. In Wynwood, the team is previewing the new stadium at an immersive Experience Center featuring a 3D model, trophies and even a Messi jersey on display.
The stadium may be months from kickoff, but the vision here is sleek, high-design and ready to rival anything in the league, if not the sport.
