Is Brickell Miami’s most overrated neighborhood?

Last week, we shared some rather interesting results from our Time Out City Index, a global survey through which we attempt to find the most exciting cities in the world. There was good news for Miami (80 percent of us are happy), not so good news (61 percent say Miami is way too expensive) and some rather, uh, interesting findings (84 percent of you say it’s very easy to get laid in Miami). But that’s not all we discovered about the city.

In the survey, we asked your opinion on Miami’s different neighborhoods and, overwhelmingly, y’all picked Wynwood as your most-loved area of Miami. It won not only in the overall category but also as the undisputed best place for eating, drinking and having fun in the city. It's hard for us to disagree. Wynwood is pretty dope. Coral Gables and South Beach weren’t too far behind in those categories either.

Sadly, you didn’t quite feel the same way about Brickell. Miami's rapidly expanding financial district apparently still has some work to do. It won our not-so-coveted prize for the most overrated neighborhood in Miami. Perhaps the brutal traffic and steep prices have rubbed a few of you the wrong way.
