In today’s shocking headline: Kendall is now cool, and officially worthy of its own restaurant week. We’re only half serious, of course the ’burbs deserve their own week dedicated to showcasing the fantastic eateries located west of the Turnpike.

Unlike Coral Gables’s, which lasts an entire month, Flavors of Kendall Restaurant Week sticks to a seven-day schedule, taking place from June 24 to June 30. Participating restaurants include Pisco y Nazca, Pubbelly Sushi, Devon Seafood + Steak and Earls Kitchen + Bar. Three-course dinner menus will run $39 across eateries, making Kendall’s competitive to what’s on tap in August and September during Miami Spice.

This being the neighborhood’s first major culinary endeavor, restaurant week kicks off with a big party on Thursday, June 20th, from 6 to 9pm at the Hilton Miami Dadeland (9100 N Kendall Dr). Early bird tickets are $25 and available online. Quell any doubts as to the caliber of eateries in Kendall with samples from participating restaurants, plus enjoy drinks and live entertainment. Music, food and cocktails—barring traffic, Kendall isn’t so bad after all.
